DANSVILLE— The Mount Morris Blue Devils improved to an undefeated 3-0 on Saturday after taking down the Dansville Mustangs by a score of 4-1 at Dansville.
Mount Morris brought a balanced attack to the field, as all four goals came from different players. Kyle Soto and Collin Brickwood scored in the first half, and Reed Goho and Josh Hart cemented the lead in the second half.
“It was a tough loss to swallow, both teams played hard and showed great effort”, said Dansville head coach Steven French. “We just couldn’t find the rhythm we needed to find the back of the net. I guess we should have saved some of the goals we scored in Thursdays game against Leroy for our game against Mount Morris today. We will get our rhythm and come back strong for Perry on Tuesday.”
For Dansville, Michael Adams contributed an unassisted goal in the second half and goalie Ryan Conklin finished with 15 saves. But it was a noticeable stumble in what has otherwise been a strong start to the season.
Mount Morris will not play again until Friday afternoon, when they will take on Cal-Mum at home.
