MOUNT MORRIS — A Monday morning accident in Mount Morris sent one man to the hospital.
According to authorities on the scene, a moving van driving north on South Main Street near Bonadonna Avenue crossed the center line just as a tandem Spallina Materials dump truck was driving by. The dump truck tried to avoid the oncoming vehicle, but the moving van clipped the dump truck’s second trailer. The moving van then veered across the road into a telephone pole.
The driver was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance. The dump truck’s driver was uninjured.
Investigators, including Livingston County Undersheriff Matthew Bean, are still on the scene reconstructing the accident.
