LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Massive power outages have left more than 8,000 Livingston County residents without power.
As of 6 p.m. Thursday, National Grid reports that 8,283 customers are without electricity. A blown transformer was reported in Lakeville at 4:49 p.m.
Outage areas include Conesus, Geneseo, Groveland, Livonia, and Hemlock.
National Grid says that power is estimated to be restored by 10 p.m.
Power is currently out at Genesee Valley Plaza in Geneseo, which contains Wegmans.
Traffic lights are currently out on 20A at Genesee Valley Plaza and Rte. 256.
Members of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and Geneseo Police Department are assisting with traffic.
