LEICESTER The woman who went missing from her parents’ home in Leicester has been found alive.
Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty tweeted that Starrlita Smith, 21, is located.

“Starr has been located. She is alive and being treated for dehydration and malnutrition.” tweeted Dougherty.
On Thursday, Dougherty urged residents in the area of Perry Road and River Road in Leicester to check their properties, vehicles and outbuildings for Smith, who could be taking shelter there.
Dougherty said that Smith functions similar to a 6 to 12-year-old child.
The Sheriff’s Office, State Police and DEC are used many resources to find Smith. Sheriff’s DEC and State Police K9’s, Sheriff’s drones, and a State Police helicopter actively searched the area.
