LIVONIA – One of Livingston County’s most iconic businesses was allegedly the victim of theft by an employee.
According to a press release from Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Bonnie Peri-Osborne, 69, was arrested for felony Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said that they were contacted by a business owner reporting that an employee was stealing money. The Sheriff’s Office did not release the name of the business.
Peri-Osborne’s Facebook profile says that she worked at Minnehans.
Deputy Michael Williams of the Road Patrol Division responded and conducted an investigation into the allegations.
Peri-Osborne is alleged to have taken more than $1,000 while opening and closing the business.
Peri-Osborne was taken to Central Booking at the Livingston County Jail for processing on Aug. 31.
She was released to appear in the Town of Livonia Court at a later date.
Minnehans is open year-round at 5601 Big Tree Road in Lakeville, as it has been since 1979.
