GENESEO – The Planning Board unanimously approved Livingston County’s extension and subdivision plans at Millennium Drive at a meeting Wednesday night.
Millennium Drive has several facilities, including the Town of Geneseo’s offices, within a cul-de-sac and short road which intersects Lakeville Road (20A) just across from Denny’s. The plans include collaborating with SUNY Geneseo graduate and local developer Greg O’Connell, who owns land on Millennium Drive, to extend a road through the area to Walmart.
“I’m interested in your property, you’re interested in mine,” says Coyle, referring to talks with O’Connell. “That’s why we needed the Planning Board today. […] We’re subdividing, forming other means to egress and regress a busy area.”
Members of the Village of the Geneseo Planning Board expressed their excitement to the project.
“Many of us have discussed building a connection to Millennium Drive for years,” said Chairman David Woods.”It’s gratifying to see that it’s nearing fruition.”
Planning documents have been submitted to the Geneseo village attorney for final review.
