Military Veteran Members of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office To Be Honored
Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty welcomes the media and the public to attend a special ceremony at the Livingston County Courthouse on Monday November 11th, 2019, the 100th anniversary of honoring our Veterans.
Over twenty members of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office are serving or have served in our Armed Forces. The members will receive a newly designed pin to don on their daily uniform recognizing their military service.
The concept for the pin originated at the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and was presented to the 58 Sheriffs across New York State who agreed to a standardized National Defense pin to be presented on Veterans Day.
We ask all in attendance to be in their seats 135pm and the call to order will occur at 140pm.
The ceremony is anticipated to be twenty minutes in duration.
