NYLON – Former Monroe County Senior District Attorney Matthew Nafus has announced his candidacy for the New York State Supreme Court’s Seventh Judicial District.
According to news partner 13WHAM, Nafus, who has a private legal practice in Scottsville, is also a Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
Nafus is running as a Democrat for the Seventh Judicial District, which represents Monroe, Livingston, Ontario, Wayne, Seneca, Steuben, Cayuga and Yates Counties at the Supreme Court level.
Superior Court Judges preside over County Court, and family court (hearing juvenile delinquency, PINS, custody and visitation issues, adoption, guardianship and a number of other “family-related” issues).
