MOUNT MORRIS — A farmer in Mount Morris was killed in a farming accident this afternoon.
Sheriff Thomas Dougherty confirmed the incident. Apparently a farm tractor rolled over killing the victim who is believed to have been either an Amish or Mennonite farmer.
The incident which was reported at 3:44 p.m. was on a farm located in the area of Rte. 408 and Ridge Road.
Ridge Road is currently shut down as of 5 p.m.and traffic should advised to avoid the area.
