GENESEO – A man was injured when he was thrown from the hood of a car by a Mount Morris woman during an apparent altercation on Tuesday, June 30, resulting in her arrest on Assault charges.
According to a press release from Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian, Officer Christopher Matteson arrested Brynn Perkins, 24, of Mount Morris, for Assault in the Third Degree and Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree at Walmart.
“Somehow he got onto the hood of the car, then she took it to the next level by accelerating and braking,” said Chief Osganaian. “When he came in to handle his order of protection, he reported a fracture to his arm.”
Perkins allegedly accelerated her car while the male person was on the hood of the vehicle and then stopped abruptly, causing him to fly off the hood.
Perkins was arraigned in front of Geneseo Justice Thomas Bushnell and remanded to the Livingston County Jail lieu on $250 cash or $500 bond.
The case is also being forwarded to the Livingston County Child Protective Services, because a young child was in the car. The Geneseo Police Department was assisted by the New York State Police.
