AVON – Two men from out of town were arrested following a traffic stop on Lakeville Road by Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies, one for drug charges after claiming possession of drugs in the car and the driver for Unlicensed Operation.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, the passenger, Andrew Crowner, 27, of Wellsville, NY, stands charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a class D felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree. The driver, Lucas Kerr, 21, from Rixford, PA, is charged with Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree, Inadequate Muffler, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

On July 16, 2015 at about 8:14 p.m., Deputy Brandan Flickner of the Sheriff’s STOP DWI Unit stopped Kerr traveling South on Lakeville Road in the Town of Avon for Inadequate Muffler. Kerr’s driving privileges were found to be suspended in New York for an Administrative Action. Through further investigation, Kerr was found to have a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle.
During the vehicle search, 13 bags of what is believed to be heroin and approximately 3 grams of cocaine were located. The passenger, Andrew Crowner, admitted the heroin and cocaine was his.
Kerr was issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket for marijuana possession and will appear in Town of Avon Court at a later date.
Crowner was arraigned for on the charges of Crowner was arraigned at the Town of Avon Court by Judge Piampiano and remanded to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail or $3,000 bond on the recommendation of First Assistant District Attorney Victor Rowcliffe.
