CONESUS – A local man has been arrested for felony sex abuse of a child as part of an investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and Child Protective Services (CPS).
According to a press release from Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Gary Hurley Jr., 44, of Conesus, was arrested when a joint investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and CPS discovered that Hurley had sexual contact with another person under the age of 11.
Hurley was arrested for the felony of Sexual Abuse in the First degree.
Hurley was taken before Judge Lemon in the Town of Livonia. Judge Lemon remanded Hurley to the custody of the Sheriff. Lemon is being held in the Livingston County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
Sheriff’s Investigator Joshua Monster of the Criminal Investigations Division handled the investigation and arrest. Assisting was Livingston County Child Protective Services and the Livingston County District Attorney’s Office.
