Vincent Wozlonis, 43, was recently arrested by the Livingston County Sheriff’s office for arson, two counts of felony burglary in t he second and third , criminal mischief, petit larceny, possession of burglar’s tools, and trespassing for 3 incidents that occurred in Lima in early March.

The first incident occurred on the morning of March 7, around 11 a.m., when a fire alarm went off at a home on Rochester St., Lima. Deputies foudn the stove on, and items in the house on fire. At about 8 p.m. that night, deputies responded to a building on East Main St., after getting getting reports of a person starting a small fire inside a garage, but Wozlonis had fled before the deputies arrived, and there were iems missing from the garage.
On March 8, a deputy conducted a checkk on the Rochester st house and found the stove inside the house had again been turned on, and found Wozlonis, who matched the description of the man in the garage setting the fire day before.
Wozlonis was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing pre-arraignment detention. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was contacted in regards bail due to the felony level charges and it was recommended that Wozlonis be held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 secured bond.
Wozlonis was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Village of Dansville Justice Kenney. The Judge did remand Wozlonis to the custody of the Sheriff with bail set at $10,000 cash, $15,000 credit or $50,000 bond.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Wozlonis at the court arraignment for his defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was notified but did not appear to represent the People.
The investigation was handled by members of the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and Forensic Identification Unit. Assisting agencies were the Livingston County Office of Emergency Management and the Lima Fire Department.
