LEICESTER – A water main break on Main Street in the Village of Leicester has put the entire Village under a boil water advisory.
According to a press release from the Livingston County Department of Health, all Village of Leicester residents should boil water before
consumption or use bottled water.
“Village staff are working to repair the break and lab testing will then be done to ensure your water is safe for consumption,” says Mark Grove, director of Environmental Health for the Livingston County Department of Health. “You will be informed when the lab tests results are received
and the boil water notice can be lifted.”
Additional information will be posted on the Livingston County website at www.co.livingston.state.ny.us or available by calling the Department of Health at (585)243-7280.
