Lost Livonia Dog Lands Safe with AZ Owners

LIVONIA – The dog who was found wandering in the road in Livonia just landed safely in Arizona to be reunited with his owners.

Perry Vet Group Work Leader Tonja Hynes saw Max the dog wandering in the road and took him to the office, where a microchip scan came back for Arizona. Turns out Max had been missing for over a year.

The running theory is that Max ran away from home in Arizona a year ago and was picked up by a neighbor, who then moved to Livingston County. He then apparently ran away again.

Hynes spearheaded a fundraiser to help pay for Max’s ticket home, along with a donation from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office’s Coalition of Patrol Services (LCCOPS), which was spearheaded by Deputy William Cartwright.
