The Bulldogs are 7-1 going into this match, while Geneva stands at 6-2.
“Our team has been working hard to continue to improve as we push forward through the sectional tournament,” said Head Coach John Gammon. “Our front 7 on defense has been tremendous against the run, and if we plan on defeating a tough Geneva team this week they will need another stellar performance. ”
Looking at statistics, the Bulldogs would seem to have a slight edge going in, as they have a 4-0 record at away games, while Geneva is only 3-1.
The Geneva Panthers should not be counted out however, as the average scoring between the 2 teams is close. The Bulldogs averaging 40.1 points per game, the Panthers a close 37.
Coach Gammon went on to mention that their offense needs to focus on moving the ball well on the ground, and limiting the penalties and turnovers in order to be most effective against Geneva.
