Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Livonia resident on felony charges following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
On May 8th, 2023 at approximately 10:00 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an address in the Village of Livonia for the report of a domestic dispute.
The investigation revealed that the dispute had just taken place, with the suspect identified as 32 year old Trevor L. Langley of Livonia. It is alleged that during the dispute, Langley broke property belonging to the victim, all while an active refrain from order of protection was in place protecting the victim from Langley.
Langley was arrested and charged with felony Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, as well as felony Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.
Langley was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. The District Attorney’s Office was contacted in regards to bail due to the felony level charges. It was recommended that Langley be held on $5,000 cash or credit, or $10,000 bond.
Langley was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Justice Riggi. The Judge did commit Langley to the custody of the Sheriff, setting bail at $5,000 cash or $10,000 secured bond.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Langley at the court arraignment for his defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was notified but did not appear to represent the people.
