LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Tuesday morning a Livonia man was sentenced to six months incarceration in the Livingston County Jail as well as ten years post-release supervision, after he plead guilty to being in possession of child pornography.
Robert T. Bentley, 25, was arrested in March of 2014 after a lengthy investigation led investigators to find images of child pornography on his computer. He plead guilty to the charge of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child. A pre-sentence investigation was done before Bentley was sentenced, revealing that the District Attorney’s Office recommended a longer post-release supervision period based on the state of mind Bentley appeared to be in.
Bentley will also be forced to register as a Sex Offender under the Sex Offender Registration Act as a Level 3 Sex Offender.
