LIVONIA – New York State Police arrested a Livonia man for allegedly fixing a stolen inspection sticker to his car to get around inspection.
According to a press release from New York State Police, John Litolff, 31, was arrested for misdemeanor Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree.
An Avon business reported that several New York State inspection stickers were missing from their company vehicles. During an investigation by State Police based in Lima and the New York State DMV, a 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue belonging to Litloff was found to have one of the stolen stickers attached.
Police believe that Litloff was using an illegal sticker to avoid repairing his vehicle.
Litloff is a former employee of the business.
Litloff is scheduled to appear in Town of Livonia Court at a later date for arraignment.
