Livonia Dentist’s Charity Keeps the Smiles Coming

LIVONIA — This year, Dr. Sandra Eleczko, DDS is again offering tooth whitening services at a discount and donating 100% of the proceeds to various charities through Jun. 30, according to a press release from Conesus Lake Smiles.

Dr. Eleczko is participating in the 20th annual Smiles for Life campaign, a charity making a difference for seriously ill, disabled, and disadvantaged children through fundraisers and charitable donations at participating Crown Council cosmetic dentistry members.

“Smiles for Life allows a person to help children in need by doing something that benefits them as well,” said Greg Anderson, director of Crown Council. “Dr. Sandra J. Eleczko, DDS donates her time and expertise, while Ultradent [a dental product distributor] provides all Opalescence whitening products. Patients receive a brighter smile and help children get a brighter future.”

Since the program began in 1998, Smiles for Life has raised over $38 million for charity. Eleczko has pledged to donate one half of her tooth whitening proceeds from March through June to Sent By Ravens food pantry, and the other half to different children’s charities and humanitarian works nationally as well as internationally.

In past years, Dr. Eleczko’s participation in Smiles for Life has donated proceeds to causes including Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, raising over $1200 for children and families in need in 2014.

This year’s donation recipient, Sent By Ravens food pantry, is on a mission to reduce the unnecessary discarding of food and assist people with finding healthy and nutritional food that is also affordable. The food pantry accepts both perishable and non-perishable donations from local business, farmers, restaurants, and individuals in the community.
