The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch* for Livingston, Allegany, Wyoming, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua Counties until 3am. Tonight there is a chance of showers early, then rain and thunderstorms through the early overnight. Some patchy fog through the early overnight. Some thunderstorms may be severe with damaging winds and large hail. Rain may be heavy at times through the early overnight. Lows ranging from around 40 on the hilltops to the mid 40s across the lower elevations. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph, becoming southwest. Chance of rain near 100 percent. Chance of approximately an inch of rain through the end of Monday.
*A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms called a supercell which is capable of producing tornados.
