LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office will bring 100 underprivileged children to a Red Wings game, courtesy of a local car dealer.
Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty says that the tickets will go to civilians who want to join members of the Sheriff’s Office for the game on Sunday, July 17 at 1:30 p.m. The tickets were purchased by Dom Genova, Owner of Genesee Valley Ford and Genesee Valley Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Avon, as a thank you to first responders.
“We thank Dom for recognizing those who serve our local communities,” said Dougherty. “Through his generosity, we plan to take underpriviliged kids to the game. I am sure they will experience a great day and hopefully a great game alongside our LCSO members.”
Tickets will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis. Interested families can call (585) 243-7100 and ask for Deputy Mike Didas for more information.
All police departments in Monroe County also have tickets available for civilians.
