LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Livingston County Workforce Development is inviting local young people to apply for at least 10 jobs at a recruitment event at the county building.
On Feb. 2, the county will recruit people aged 18 to 24 who are not in school and are either homeless, pregnant or parenting, in foster care, on probation, have a documented disability, or have no high school diploma or GED.
“We are attempting to connect with young adults that are not actively engaged in education or the workforce to provide up to eight weeks of subsidized employment,” said Ryan Snyder, Director of Livingston County Workforce Development. “During this time the participants will be developing the work readiness skills needed to obtain permanent employment at the completion of the program.”
Positions will be matched to the candidates’ skill level and interests.
The recruitment event will be at 6 Court Street in Geneseo in room 106 at 1 p.m.
