The Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (LCCNR) is encouraging job seekers in the health care field to take advantage of paid, on-the-job training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) before it expires in June.
The Unlicensed Nursing Assistant (UNA) to CNA Program will provide paid training for employees seeking to quickly advance from a UNA to a CNA position. Participants must complete either 40 days or 150 hours of employment at LCCNR to be eligible, said LCCNR Recruitment Specialist Marianne Miller.
“Those interested should apply as soon as possible, as the federal waiver allowing us to offer this will expire in early June,” said Miller. “Don’t delay because this program is a really unique opportunity to jumpstart a career in healthcare. Benefits include recently increased pay rates and shift incentives. The expedited UNA to CNA Program is only being offered for a limited time, so we encourage all who are interested to apply today.”
To apply, contact mgmiller@co.livingston.ny.us or download an employment application at https://www.livingstoncounty.
Livingston County recently developed a recruitment video with interviews of LCCNR staff and residents describing the positive atmosphere and working conditions available there. The video is online at https://youtu.be/dbpHw6sf6Eg.
LCCNR offers 24-hour skilled nursing services ranging from short-term, post-acute rehabilitative care to traditional long-term care. Residents receive care in a manner that addresses the needs of the individual. LCCNR staff focus on turning potential into ability, discomfort into comfort. They strive to promote a home-like environment for residents with activities that involve friends, family, volunteers, and pets.
