All Livingston County government buildings will reopen to the public on Monday, June 8, 2020. Some departments and services will be subject to continued limitations as described below.
In an effort to comply with CDC guidelines and provide a safe environment for everyone, Livingston County officials have developed a reopening plan for county buildings, employees and visitors. A few highlights include:
· Visitors and employees will be screened at building entrances, wear face coverings, and maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet at all times.
· Physical workspaces and common areas will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
· Several departments will now have Plexiglass to serve as a barrier between employees and the public.
· Hand hygiene stations will be located throughout each building.
· Signage will be posted in workspaces and common areas to remind visitors and employees to adhere to proper hygiene, social distancing rules, appropriate use of face coverings, and cleaning and disinfecting protocols.

While the County buildings are open to the public, appointments are encouraged as some staffing levels due to furloughs and remote work are not at pre-pandemic levels. To ensure your needs are met, whenever possible, please call or email ahead so you can be assured that we are available.
Board of Elections: Appointments encouraged with the exception of early voting. Please call ahead to 585-243-7090 for service or to set up an appointment. Early voting hours: June 13, 14, 20, 21 from 9AM – 2PM; June 15, 17 from 8AM – 8PM; June 16, 18, 19 from 8AM – 4PM.
Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (CNR): Visitors are not allowed at the CNR. In the event of end-of-life conditions, exceptions will be made. The Garden of Life Adult Day Health Program at the CNR is temporarily closed until further notice. Phone: 585-243-7200

County Treasurer: Open. The Treasurer encourages any payments made to the County for unpaid taxes to be mailed or paid online using credit/debit cards. Certificates of Residency for community colleges can be mailed to the office for certification and mailing. Phone: 585-243-7050
Department of Health: Open and acting as lead agency on COVID-19 response; has activated a toll free number (1-877-280-6775) for COVID-19 questions. Phone: 585-243-7270
Department of Motor Vehicles: Per NYS, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) remains closed for in-person customer transactions. Vehicle registrations and other transactions are being processed by mail and drop box at our Geneseo location at 6 Court Street, Room 204, Geneseo, NY 14454; please call or email with questions. The New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) is not open and staff have not returned to work. Workforce Development is unable to provide information about NYSDOL-specific Unemployment Claims and encourages the continued use of the NYSDOL website or helpline at 1-888-209-8124.
