The Livingston County Drug Task Force reports the arrest of a Mount Morris, NY resident following an investigation into cocaine sales in the Village of Mount Morris.
Christopher W. Campbell, age 41, was arrested on June 13, 2022 by the Mount Morris Police Department. A Livingston County Superior Court indictment warrant charged Campbell with three counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (class B felonies), and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (also class B felonies). The arrest culminated an investigation into the sale of cocaine in the Village of Mount Morris. The investigation was handled by the Livingston County Drug Task Force.
Campbell was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre arraignment detention. The offenses did qualify for pre-arraignment detention under the NYS Justice Reform Act.
Campbell was arraigned on June 14, 2022 by Judge Van Allen in Livingston County Court. Campbell was remanded to the custody of the Sheriff without the chance of bail due to the fact that he was already out on bail for a prior felony arrest.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Campbell at the court arraignment for his defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was present to represent the People.
