GENESEO – The Livingston County Area Chamber of Commerce announced in a press release the recipients of the 2013 Business Awards. The Chamber will present four Livingston County businesses with separate awards on Thursday, September 19th at its Awards & Business Expo taking place at Camp Stella Maris on Conesus Lake.
The awards are presented to select businesses based on some or all of the following criteria:
Large Business of the Year – awarded to a business that employs 25 or more people. The 2013 Large Business of the Year is Wegmans in Geneseo.
Small Business of the Year – awarded to a business that employs less than 25 people. The 2013 Small Business of the Year is The Gigglin’ Pig in Caledonia.
Most Promising New Enterprise – awarded to a business that has been open for at least 6 months but not longer than 2 years. The 2013 Most Promising New Enterprise is Notebook Tek in Geneseo.
Downtown Business of the Year – awarded to a business that is located on the Main St. or similarly designated downtown district. The 2013 Downtown Business of the Year is Dansville Stationers in Dansville.

The September 19th Awards & Expo is open to the public and all are encourage to attend and show support for this year’s award recipients. Tickets for the event are available by contacting the Chamber office at (585) 243-2222. Business Expo spaces are available and can also be secured through the Chamber office. General admission for the event is $25pp and Expo spaces for Chamber member businesses are $75 and include booth space as well as an admission to the event.
