LIVINGSTON COUNTY — The County Chairperson, James Merrick, has officially notified the Board of Supervisors of his intent to retire at the end of the year.
The County received the written notification earlier this month and will officially be accepted at the December 18 meeting.
Insiders speculate as to who his successor might be. Eric Gott and Will Wadsworth are two potential front runners.
Merrick, who is the Town of Groveland Supervisor, has served Livingston County for over 20 years.
