LIVINGSTON COUNTY – A recent credit card scam has already victimized one Livingston County businesses and could be used at others.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, a recent scam regarding credit card purchases has been circulating using ‘cloned’ credit cards.
One business in Livingston County recently fell victim to a $10,000 purchase that was made utilizing a cloned credit card.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind merchants to be vigilant in verifying the identity of a customer when a purchase is made with a credit card.
