The Horse Bowl and Hippology events are the equivalent of playing “Jeopardy” in the horse world. The teams compete against each listening to questions, hitting a buzzer and then answering the question. The questions are about anything in the horse world and require a broad based knowledge in order to do well.

The Livingston County 4-H Horse Bowl and Hippology events were held at the Livonia CSD on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
Nineteen members participated in both Horse Bowl and Hippology events.
All Novice, Junior, and Senior participants in Horse Bowl and Hippology qualified for the regional events scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Midlakes School in Phelps.
Kiara Gramkee, Chloe Hatfield and Kaelyn White participated in Horse Bowl as Cloverbuds.
The Novice Horse Bowl results were as follows:
1st – Lucy Kirkwood,
2nd – Abby Harrington,
3rd (Tie) – Rian de Wit & Cyle Johnson,
4th – Loghan Nowak, and
5th – Courtney Potts.
In the Junior Horse Bowl competition, Emily Houghteling placed first. Audrey de Wit, Alexsandra Powell, and Lexi Pfenninger placed second through fourth respectively.
The Senior Horse Bowl results included:
1st – Nicole Houghteling,
2nd – Bridgitte Johnson,
3rd – Tiffani Aho, and
4th – Ashton Taylor.
Loghan Nowak finished first in the Novice Hippology event. Payton Slade, Abby Harrington, Meadow McMillan, Rosemary Shaeffer, Rian de Wit, Courtney Potts, and Cyle Johnson placed second through eighth respectively.
In the Junior Hippology event, Emily Houghteling placed first. Audrey de Wit, Lexi PFenninger, and Ariana Judson placed
second through fourth respectively.
Nicole Houghteling finished first in the Senior Hippology event followed by Bridgitte Johnson and Tiffani Aho in second
and third.
