LIVINGSTON COUNTY — The Livingston County Planning Department has opened a second solar workshop for agricultural lands.
The workshop is scheduled for May 14, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at York Central School, Retsof.
The speakers for the program will feature, Mike Saviola, Department of Agriculture & Markets who will be talking about guidelines/considerations for solar sitting on agricultural land in NYS. Attorney with Collinga Law LLP, Rob Townsley will speak about the guidelines for landowners on solar lease agreements. Jason Feltham & Rob Gauchat form Solar Liberty will be talking about solar installations,
holding a Q&A and open discussion.
County, Town and Village Planning and Zoning Board members can earn up to 2.5 hours of training credit for attending the workshop.
The workshop is free to attend and open to the public.
