LIMA— A Lima man was arrested on felony charges after an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
According to a press release by Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Isac G. Villafane, 23, was involved in an alleged altercation with his girlfriend, grabbing her by the throat and throwing her to the ground.
On June 27, 2018, the Canandaigua Police Department contacted the Sheriff’s Office to check on the welfare of a female who lives in Lima after receiving information that she was possibly involved with a domestic dispute with her boyfriend.
The Deputies were unable to locate the female during the overnight hours but a Sheriff’s investigator located her at her place of employment the next morning.
On June 28, 2018, Sheriff’s Deputies located and arrested Villafane on charges of felony Criminal Contempt in the 1st degree, a class E felony, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, and Harassment in the 2nd degree.
Villafane was arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at the Livingston County Jail (LCCAP) before Nnda Town Justice James Mann where he was remanded by the Judge to the custody of the Sheriff on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
