LIMA – Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a 29 year old woman from Ontario County resident on felony Grand Larceny charges after an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
On June 24, 2020 Sheriff’s Investigator Josh Monster arrested and charged Samantha J. Ochsenhirt, age 29 from Phelps NY, with felony Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree.
It is alleged that on January 14, 2020 Ochsenhirt wrote a check to her landlord from a Money Network prepaid account for $1,000. It is further alleged that Ochsenhirt did not have $1,000 in the account to cover the amount of the check.
Ochsenhirt was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and released on an appearance ticket to return to the Town of Lima Court to answer the charges at a later date as the offense does not qualify for arraignment under the NYS Justice Reform Act.
