LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Power has returned to areas of central and southern Livingston County that lost power Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Online outage maps by Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) and National Grid show that all of approximately 3,970 people who lost power in an area that includes Nunda, Portageville, Mount Morris, Groveland and Conesus now have their lights on.
Electrical lines were down on the border of Mount Morris and Nunda and first responders detoured traffic. A small grass fire was reported as one of the power lines sparked a nearby field. Nunda firefighters responded to that scene.
Power returned by 7:45 p.m.
About 800 people in Pike and 47 people in Dalton also lost power and have since had it restored.
