Letter to the Editor: New Mayor Duff Thanks Hatheway for 32 Years of Service

Dear Dick,

I would like to take this opportunity to restate that my reason for running was to give voters in Geneseo a choice. I believe Democracy works best when people have a choice.

Your never wavering commitment to this Village is evident in water and sewer upgrades, streets, parks, trees and Main Street revitalization. They will stand forever as a testament to your hard work and vision for this community.

We are well underway in the move toward green energy. You have always been a master at fiscal responsibility. You have built and maintained an excellent relationship with SUNY Geneseo. I assure you that these efforts will continue and bring honor to your years of service.

People will always remember you as Mayor. Please know that this entire community is grateful for your years of service.
