LEICESTER – A local teen was arrested on felony gun charges after he allegedly posted a Snapchat video of himself firing a stolen handgun from a vehicle.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Ryan Bonadonna, 19, was arrested for felony Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Discharging a Firearm on a Roadway.

On June 5, the Sheriff’s Office received a complaint concerning the Snapchat video.
Deputies located Bonadonna and allege that Bonadonna had been in possession of a .357 revolver owned by his father and had discharged the firearm while on Brian Road in the Town of Leicester. Bonadonna allegedly took the gun without the knowledge of his father.
Bonadonna was arrested by Deputy Jason Butterbrodt . The NYS DEC Police assisted and charged Bonadonna with Discharging a Firearm on a Roadway.
Bonadonna was transported to Central Booking at the Livingston County Jail where he was processed and detained for arraignment. Bonadonna was arraigned on June 6 in Geneseo Town Court due to no Leicester Justice being available. Bonadonna was held on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
Also assisting on the investigation were Sergeant Matthew Orman, Deputy Martin Herkimer and Deputy Ryan Swanson.
