Molly S. Low, 44, of Avon, was arrested on St. Patrick’s Day on Lakeville Rd in the Town of Avon for Driving While Intoxicated and related charges. According to a Sheriff’s office press release, Low had her three children in the car at the time, ages, 9, 12, and 15. Low was charged under Leandra’s Law, which has special provisions for DWI with children in the vehicle.
The arrest took place during a traffic stop in Avon on March 15, 2014. Low was charged with “Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Breath Alcohol Content of .25%, three counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Passenger less then 16 years of age-Leandra’s Law, three counts of Endangering The Welfare Of A Child and Fail to keep right on a two lane roadway.”
A referral to Child Protective Services was made, and a sober friend of Ms. Low’s who was called to the scene secured the children.
Deputy Judson Marvin conducted the initial traffic stop and arrest. Assisting in the investigation was Sergeant Joseph Breu, Deputy Martin Herkimer, and Deputy James Merrick.
Low was arraigned in Avon Town Court before Judge Pampiano and is being held in Livingston County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail/$5,000 cash bond.
