PERRY — Finding fun alcohol-free events on New Year’s eve can be a challenge but Last Night Perry 2013 is serving up a fun safe evening for all to enjoy.
The celebration takes place from 5:00pm through midnight on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Perry Elementary Middle School, 50 Olin Avenue, Perry.
The evening will consist of 40 performances on the Last Night Perry stage. Early evening events include a “street fair”, featuring vaudeville performers, wandering musicians, clowns, face painting, “sand art”, Mr. Scribbles! and do-it-yourself crafts. Younger family members will jump into the bounce hut, giggle with Buffalo and Brandy or be entranced by magicians, the Nimals puppets, and the juggling antics of AIRPLAY, while Mom and Dad tap their toes to the music of Ernie Lawrence, Kelly’s Old Timers, Miché Fambro and Creek Bend and guffaw with improv comedians ComedySportz. Teens can get drawn by a caricaturist, get startled by exotic reptiles or get tutored in juggling. Active audience members can line dance, sing their favorites with the Karaoke Kid, join a drum circle and win prizes at the Improv Dads Grab Bag Game Show. For those fearless of fun don’t miss out on comedy hypnotist TG Rivers and his mesmerizing all-ages show!
And all are welcome from 5-11:30pm at the Perry High School for Sports Night Perry! Swimming (5;30-8:30pm), organized sporting competitions, mini-golf, an obstacle course and games of skill await. Free limo service will be provided for travel between buildings.
Midnight brings a Welcome 2014 Celebration, complete with great dance music provided by Trilogy, a balloon drop and a prize giveaway.
All activities are covered in the admission price of $5, with a $20 maximum for families of five. Children under school age are free. Light dining is available at both locations.
