LIVINGSTON COUNTY — A level three sex offender, required by law to be a lifelong sex offender registrant, has been charged with violating the terms of his release after allegedly failing to update his address.
Jack Johnson, 56, appeared in front of Judge Robert Wiggins with his attorney Christopher Laragy, where he entered a not guilty on behalf of his client.
Johnson has been charged with failure to register as a sex offender, a class E felony. Bail was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond and the case has been adjourned until September 17.
Johnson served six years in state prison for criminal sex abuse in the 1st degree.
