GENESEO — A high speed travel expert was injured in an accident and ticketed for unsafe speed after she allegedly ran a Geneseo stop sign and crashed her car.
Amber Nolan, 29, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is famous for being a ‘Jet hiker’, who has seen over 42 states by hitching free rides on planes at small airports.
Nolan, who went to Geneseo Central School, made international news as she jet-hitched her way through 42 states and more than 250 towns and cities on her journey this past year. Her goal is to get to all 50 States and according to her website, http://jethiking.com. Days before her accident, she was on the West Coast.
According to a press release from the Geneseo Village Police Department, Nolan was ticketed on Dec. 24 for failing to stop at a stop sign, speed unreasonable and prudent, and unsafe lane change on Lima Road. She is due back in court in late January.
