In this day and age of buying online, Small Business Saturday gives you a chance to walk around your local stores and see what they have to offer. Shopping locally offers unique gifts that you can purchase and take home the same day. There is someone there to help you and answer your questions. The owners of these businesses help the community by hiring local people, paying local taxes and supporting local causes.
Can you imagine what would happen if all of the local brick and mortar stores closed? Can you imagine having to order everything and anything you want online? You’d have to wait to get it until it is delivered to your door. You couldn’t run out and get that last minute gift that you forgot … or something that you need quickly. By shopping and buying locally, we can prevent that from happening.
Today, every community in Livingston County has small business specials. Look around your community and see what is available. It just might be worth it.
