LIVINGSTON COUNTY – Wednesday evening’s lake-effect squall will brings a National Weather Service winter weather advisory to Livingston County on Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service, the advisory will remain in effect from 1 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday.

“The passage of an arctic front Thursday afternoon and evening will bring a burst of heavy snow and blowing snow,” said the National Weather Service. “This will lead to snow covered roads and very poor visibilities, making for difficult travel.”
Heavy snows, particularly blowing snow, will cause significant traffic problems.
The Weather Service expects an additional 3 to 5 inches Thursday afternoon and night. Winds should be 20 to 30 mph out of the northwest with gusts up to 40 mph. Windchills should be zero to 10 below.
