LIVINGSTON COUNTY — The investigation into fraudulent time card practices by Livingston County Jail Deputies is still ongoing.
According to Mark O’Donnell, New York State Police Public Information Officer, the reason for the delay is the depth of distance in time the investigation is covering.
“The investigation is still ongoing,” said O’Donnell. “It’s a lengthy investigation, a lot of material has to be reviewed.”
O’Donnell also stated that murders and other higher priority incidents in the Troop E district have had a higher priority and pull the investigators away from this case.
“As soon as we determine the outcome the public will be informed,” said O’Donnell. “The New York State Police is not political, we are not elected officials. When we arrest people we tell people.”
