LIVINGSTON COUNTY – A young man who admitted to seriously injuring his cell mate with a pillowcase stuffed with personal belongings in October was sentenced to state prison Thursday morning.
Jacob Dougherty, 18, was sentenced to 1 to 3 years in state prison for Attempted Assault in the Second Degree, an E felony, and is ordered to pay $2,043 of restitution, as well as $375 in court fees.
Dougherty appears to have lost quite a bit of weight since his mugshot was originally taken.
Dougherty is considered by the court to be eligible for Shock camp, a military-style boot camp for inmates in state prison that can potentially greatly reduce their prison time.
Sadly, Dougherty was originally arrested on Petit Larceny charges and had a bail amount of $500. With his new charge and plea, his bail is revoked.
