UPDATE TO HONEOYE FIRE-By Friday morning, the fire was under control, and firemen were able to enter the house, where they found the remains of two bodies. Identity is not available pending notification of family and positive identification by Monroe County investigators.

HONEOYE – A fire at 5828 County Rd. 33 (Egypt Valley Rd.) was called into the Honeoye Fire Department at about 8:44 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29.
Upon arrival, Ontario County Sheriff reported a structure fully involved in flames. Neighbors said they heard several explosion type sounds, and thought perhaps there was ammunition in the residence. East Bloomfield, West Bloomfield, Cheshire, Bristol and Naples were also called to the scene. Roads near the area were closed at Mosher Rd.
The home was a single-family 2-bedrooom home on 3.5 acres. It is unknown at this time if the two residents were in the home, but there was a car in the driveway.
