Honeoye’s Board Member Dave Violas Dies

 

Dave Violas, a present Town of Richmond council member and former Honeoye Central School member, passed away on Friday, Aug. 14, at the age of 75.

Violas has been active in organizing town events, particularly in organizing a full slate of events for Independence Week 2019.  He was always in favor of climate initiations, and was a member of the Richmond Comprehensive Plan Review Committee.

Outside of his active Honeoye activities, Violas was an EMT and ambulance drive, and was active in firemen’s organizations, and often lobbies state legislators the right for volunteer fire districts to charge insurance companies for emergency medical services.

Plans for Violas’ funeral arrangements are being made with Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home in Canandaigua.
