Yesterday morning a passing by Monroe County Sheriffs Deputy discovered a structure fire in the 4200 block of Clover Street in Honeoye Falls. He immediately radioed for assistance and was able to safely evacuate the family of 7 from the residence. The Honeoye Falls Fire Department with automatic mutual assistance from the Rush Fire District and Mendon Fire District were dispatched. First arriving units discovered a fully involved shed fire with extension into a 2 car garage. The fire was under control in less than 20 minutes with significant damage to both structures. There was no damage to the residence and the family was able to safely return.
The Honeoye Falls Fire Department was assisted by the Rush, Mendon, Henrietta and East Avon Fire Departments as well as the Honeoye Falls Mendon Ambulance, Monroe County Fire Bureau and Monroe County Sheriffs Office.
