Honeoye Community Band Recruiting Summer Musicians

Junior high through adult musicians are being sought for the Honeoye (Lake) Community Band, which has 3 dates to play: July 4 at the
town gazebo, before the parade; late July at Camp Good Days and Special Times in Branchport; and Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. at the town gazebo. Musicians may play one or all of the dates.  According to organizers, the band will play patriotic tunes, old standards, Disney, and movie tunes, with practices every Tuesday night in the Honeoye Central band room from 7-8:30 p.m. “It’s an opportunity to maintain your
playing chops, get back into music, or just make friends with other people who enjoy music as much as you do, while providing a community
service, “ said one of the organizers. Most of the music has an NYSSMA rating of level 3 or 4.
