GENESEO – A hit-and-run accident on Dec. 30 near McDonalds on Lakeville Road in the town of Geneseo resulted in several charges for a driver after she allegedly fled the scene on foot, only to be grabbed by Geneseo Police at Applebees down the road.
According to a press release from Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian, Meghan Walsh, 21, of Geneseo, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with more than .08% blood alcohol concentration, Following Too Closely, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Refusal to Take a Pre-Screen Device, and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle on Lakeville Road.
Chief Osganian added that Officer Dylan DiPasquale handled the arrest. Walsh is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court later in January.
The Geneseo Police Department was assisted by the New York State Police on scene.
