The Hilton Central School system is on alert after receiving another bomb threat.
This is the second bomb threat this week. School was cancelled on Wednesday because of a bomb threat, as staff and deputies had to “sweep” all rooms in all the schools. The threat on that day was, according to the bomb threat note, because the person disagreed with a book(s) in the library.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s department put out this notice at about 10:30 on Friday morning:
” MCSO is currently investigating an anonymous threat to the @HiltonCSD. All students and staff are safe. We are working with the school to ensure the safety of the students, teachers and staff. All schools are being searched as a precautionary measure. School is not cancelled for today. Please continue to be patient and remain calm. We will continue to provide regular updates.”
